One of the universal principles of yoga is called ‘Satya – commitment to the truth.

And it is so much more than just speaking the truth.

Often, we don’t pay attention to WHAT we say, HOW we say it, and in what way it could affect others. This results in our words creating an unpleasant ripple effect in our lives.

Here are 3 simple ways you can change that by practicing Satya today:

  1. When you give someone a compliment, make sure you really FEEL it. If you don’t feel it, just don’t say it.
  2. When you receive compliments and you know they’re TRUE, welcome them with an open heart. Believe that you deserve it. Cause, guess what? You do!
  3. Next time you are calling someone a *%#*  (or any variations of it) take a step back to think if your conclusions can be backed up by facts, or is it all just a big assumption that you have believe is TRUE.
